Abundant Life Church Worship Experience
We hope that you will have an opportunity to worship with us in the near
future. Attending a worship service can be very intimidating for the first
time. So, we have put together this page to let you know what you can expect
during your time us.
Before Service
Our services start on time and last approximately 90 minutes.
Children’s
church for children ages 2-10 is offered during both Sunday morning services.
As far as a dress code our attendees dress in a variety of styles. So
whether you are dressed casually or in your "Sunday best",
you will not feel out of place. When you arrive for service, you may
park in any available space in our parking lot, we also have on-street
parking and satellite parking courtesy of the Putnam Gardens. Please
be mindful of spaces reserved for those with special needs.
During Service
Abundant Life is a welcoming church. As you enter the
worship center, ushers and greeters will be on hand to assist you.
After an opening prayer, our worship team leads the congregation in
singing and the lyrics of each song are projected on a screen. Our style
of worship music comes from a multitude of flavors such as: Caribbean,
calypso, hymns, praise choruses, contemporary, spiritual songs. Visitors
are free to sing along with us or simply observe. In addition, everything
that happens during our worship services is clearly explained for the
benefit of our guests. We typically serve Communion (The Lord's Supper)
on the first weekend of every month. When we do so, a pastor clearly
explains the significance of this practice.
A sermon is then presented by our senior pastor, Larry Ward. However,
there are times when one of the other pastors or a guest minister will
present the message. Pastor Larry is widely known for his practical,
Bible-centered teaching that helps us apply God's timeless truth to our
everyday lives.
There is an offering that is received during our services following
the message. As a visitor there is no pressure or obligation to give
an offering.
After Service
Following the services, Pastor Larry remains in the sanctuary
to greet visitors. In addition, those who don't have to leave immediately
are free to enjoy refreshments in our Fellowship Hall on third Sunday’s
following our 10 am service. We sincerely hope you enjoy your visit
