Senior Pastor Lawrence Ward is a gifted teacher and communicator of God’s Word with a heart to see that believers are equipped and empowered to build God’s Kingdom.

Pastor Larry’s vision and passion for missions have impacted many in Jamaica, W.I. Barbados, W.I., and Uganda, East Africa. In addition, he has served as a guest lecturer at the Gordon Theological Seminary CUME in Boston, MA.

Pastor Larry holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Northeastern University in technical communications and he is a graduate of the Harvard Divinity School Summer Leadership Institute.

He has been married to his wife Virginia for 22 years and they have two sons Paul and Mark.

Pastor Emeritus Aiden C. Ward is the former Pastor of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church (now Abundant Life Church). He has been a caring shepherd of the flock, meeting the needs of humanity spiritually and otherwise. His pastoring extended beyond the bounds of his congregation and his neighborhood.

Reverend Ward also served as First Vice President of the United Pentecostal Council of the Assemblies of God, Inc. (U.P.C.A.G.) and First Vice President of the New England District of the National Council for twenty years. He currently serves on the Board of Presbytery. He was a member Cambridge Black Pastors’ Conference. He is noted as the senior minister in Cambridge, having the most years of service of all current pastors in the area.

He was the husband of fifty years to Gwendolyn L. (Parris) Ward (deceased) and the parents of three children Jacqueline Cooper, Sharon and Rev. Lawrence (Sr. Pastor).

Associate Pastor Jennifer M. Prescott M.D. was born in Barbados W.I. and raised in Cambridge, MA. Dr. Prescott received her degree in Medicine from Boston University School of Medicine.

Understanding that God had a greater call on her life, Dr. Prescott attended Gordon- Conwell Theological Seminary (CUME) and was ordained to the ministry in 2003

Her passion is to see all people healed and made whole in body, mind and spirit through the love of Jesus Christ and empowered by His Holy Spirit to fulfill their God ordained purpose in life.

Associate Pastor David Wright is a native Bostonian and holds degrees from Harvard College, cum laude, and Harvard Law School.  Rev. Wright is a bar certified attorney with skills in litigation and employment.  He has consulted with many non-profit organizations and faith-based organizations to build infrastructure, do strategic planning, develop and strengthen boards of directors, and obtain other resources critical to the sustainability of programs and social ministries. 
 
He currently is the director of the Black Church Capacity Building Project of the Black Ministerial Alliance.  He serves in men’s ministry, leading Joshua’s Men at the Abundant Life Church in Cambridge. 

Finally, and most importantly, Rev. Wright is husband to Shelbey, and a proud father of two boys, Nathan, “The Boy Wonder,” and Micah, “The Boy of Steel,” and daughter, Elizabeth, “The Girl Without Fear.”

Associate Pastor Virginia Ward is the Youth Pastor at the Abundant Life Church in Cambridge, Massachusetts where her husband, Rev. Lawrence Ward, serves as pastor.  The New Generation Youth Ministries is multi-generational and reaches youth in the Riverside area of Cambridge with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Youth are taught by the New Generation Team how to transfer Biblical truths to their daily lives and empowered with opportunities to serve.

She is currently attending Gordon-Cornwell Theological Seminary (CUME) studying for a Masters of Youth Ministry. Virginia serves regionally on the Council of the New England Network of Youth Ministries. Her national involvement includes her membership on the Ministry Council of the National Network of Youth Ministries and as a trainer for the DeVos Urban Leadership Initiative, a national, faith-based urban youth leadership venture founded by the DeVos families. 

Virginia and her husband of 22 years reside in Boston with their two sons.
